The start for my BOV

We shall see how much I end up with. I am only going to pursue what is fair compensation. I am not the greedy type. I hope to be able to afford an H-1 Hummer for my BOV, lol. Might not be a wise choice though. More than likely the monies I get will be saved for my childrens educations.

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile folks. I have been a little disgusted with my preparation efforts. I had put a lot of time and money into this Bronco to make the best BOV I could. About two months ago an eighteen wheeler ran a red light and put the passenger seat of the Bronco about where the driver seat should be. According to witnesses the Bronco rolled four times after the impact and landed on its driver side. I remember nothing. All I know is my Bronco is gone. I sustained a severe concussion and have some short term memory loss, but no broken bones or other injuries. I was extremely lucky to survive. From what I am told the semi was traveling around 45 mph when it hit me. I guess I will be looking for a replacement eventually. I hope this memory loss goes away soon. It is very frustrating. Throw out some Ideas for a replacement. I will be looking for something EMP proof as possible that can carry gear and a family of five. Old 4X4 Suburban?

I'm very sorry for your accident and the loss of your BOV. Seems a small price to pay for being alive. If you had been in a new car, jeep whatever your chances of survival would have been very slim. As far as replacing it goes I would think that by the time your attourney gets through with the trucking company and or insurance company you should be able to afford an Abrams M1A1.

Sorry about your accident ,you lost a good BOV , but you can be thankful you weren't hurt more than you were. The Suburban would be a good choice ,but I've always been partial to the Bronco's,I had a 78 that I installed a 429 in , limited slip front,and back. I think that thing would pull a house off the foundation. Hope you have a speedy recovery.

This morning as I am walking up to the drivers door I saw a frog climbling up the inside of the drivers window! LMAO! I guess I might better get the weather stripping and the holes in the floor fixed before I sit on one in the wee hours of the morning, lol. Will keep updating as things progress. When I figure out how to post pics I will do so. Can I use photobucket?

Here in Arizona, it'd probably be a legless frog, diamondback variety :eek:.

Got the flywheel changed this weekend. The wife asked me what I wanted for my birthday coming up so I told her a body lift for the Bronco. With a three inch body lift I will be able to run 36 inch tires. Then i will work on the little things like dash lights, etc. Changing out the belts and checking all the vaccum hoses and checking electrical wires this weekend. I have been driving it to work all this week and am happy to report no gremlins to chase out of the truck. Okay, this weekend I had a billiards tournament and spent monday with the veterans in my family. I did get the new steering column installed Friday evening. Found a water leak thanks to the tons of rain we have been getting here too. No big deal, easy fix with new door seals. Need to replace the front passenger side corner of the body where the door bolts on due to rust. Again, not a big deal for me to fix. I will likely work on the "luxuries" this weekend such as the radio. I will be driving it to work for awhile to assess the reliability of the vehicle and hopefully uncover any other gremlins that need attention. My Father-in-law gave me a visor that goes above the windshield so I may install that too. I will post pics as soon as I can unless Mr. Deisel would like to allow me to sooner. Lol. Y'all please offer up any suggestions you may have. I am open to all advice/criticism.

Well, a quick update. I almost have the paint finished. I went with a three color Camo scheme with spray cans. I also picked up a new steering column from the junkyard. (I destroyed the old one doing something stupid.) I had a date with the firing range so I didn't have alot of time to work on it. I will post pictures as soon as I have enough posts to do so. I will keep posting updates as well. Feel free to offer suggestions as well!:)

i would like to see pics too.i just made a deal for ny bov today,am going to pick it up on wed. morning.it is a 66 chevy long bed body mounted on a 77 one ton 4x4 chassis,needs some tlc.i also have a 88 grand wagoneer.
