Does anybody know if the n95 medical masks will actully protect from air borne viruses like the swine or bird flu or are they just good for "mowing the grass" :confused: i have a bunch i bought over time.

Those should be fine for this. Go to the CDC web site and read what they have to say. Unless you have a condition like asthma or something, it doesn't seem all that deadly with proper medical care. They also are saying that anti viral drugs are working on it.
I'm more concerned that this particular virus is man made and not a natural virus. -

Apparently, this virus is being called "swine flu", but it is a mix of swine, avian and a human flu. They are saying that it is man made.
Latest news is cases in CA,TX, NY and Kansas. They are saying on the news that there is a possible martial law in Mexico City. The CDC is reporting "it's too late to close the borders now as it's already here".
The way this is spreading, there is probably some fear mongering going on. Just be careful, use ordinary precautions, use that hand sanitizer while you are out in ppublic.Comment
