    Packs with free shipping at REI

    It is free shipping on any of the Alps bags. (I ordered the 5200 - as a longer range BOB. I have a 2700 and a 1800 already...I just need to work on making them BOBs.) If you order online, you need to select standard shipping; it will say $9.99 initially, but by the time you check out it will be free. The free shipping ends April 30th.

    Thanks for the link Nicnap! I usually purchase from Sierra, but the free shipping is very tempting! :)

      Great, now I can kill myself carrying 40lbs on my back.;) I haven't carried that much "stuff" since I was in the Army 15 years ago. I was 45 when I retired then. If I try this now, I will be prepared but dead from carrying it.:)

        Too funny, Skowl. That is why my BOB is my old Goose Gear with provisons for the traditional 3 day patrol. About 20# and it's on the hip.
        People have a hard time imagining how heavy it all gets until your carry it around for a few hours:D

          Just a note, the free shipping is on anything by Alps Mountaineering, and anything you order with it is shipped free also.

            WHAT IF THE AMERICA YOU KNEW, WAS ABOUT TO CHANGE?

            The best thing you can do to support the site is pass it on to your friends and fav sites like other forums, facebook, twitter etc. Let people know about us! :)
