For bags...this is a nice one, but I did find one exactly like it at LA Police Gear about $10 cheaper...I have 4 of these.
Also...look thru the same site for lots of great goodies that are cheap! Great stuff for BOB's!
EDIT!!!!
I just noticed that the bag in the link above is a LARGER version of what I purchased, and I would suggest the larger version! This make the listed price a deal!Last edited by snal; 02-22-2009, 12:48 PM.

How much/how little do you want to fit into your BOB? Do you have any experience humping a ruck, be it large or small? Do you want something that will be a backpack style, handbag style, single-sling, etc?
IMHO when shopping for a primary BOB and primary survival items, your life and the life of your loved ones may someday be on the line, so no expense should be spared. Buy the absolute best equipment you can find for your purpose. If you have to ask how much something costs, you are not taking it serious enough (again-- my opinion, you may disagree; I walk the walk and don't just talk the talk).
Personally I like most off-the-shelf Gregory backpack-style rucks, however I also own custom Eagle Industries and Tactical Tailor gear I have had made over the years. These days I enjoy the flexibility of MALICE/MOLLE systems, and generally purchase a smaller-bodied main ruck with plenty of attachment webbing on the outside, so I can configure pouches as needed for the mission. Though I learned to love camping and hiking using civilian products when I was a kid, these days I have grown so accustomed to military gear that I gravitate toward it. YMMV.

I have the one like snal mentions as a 'tactical toolbag'. Mainly setup to carry accesories for my weapons (cleaning kits, mags, spare taclight, weapon light, holsters, extra batteries, tools, hearing protection, and spare parts). For me, it is a low capacity for a bob, but snals needs are probably very different than mine.
I think methusaleh said it pretty well... figure out what you think you need, find a bag to tote it in, see if you can tote it!
There are no right or wrong answers on BOB's just opinions...
Here are a few BOB/GHB threads for you to take a look at and see what you like for yours :)
This one is excessive but their are some good ideas in this French dude list:

Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to
beat you to death with it because it is empty.
The faster you finish the fight, the less shot you will get.
