      I live about 10 minutes from this company if anyone wants me to check out their stock. Like all whole-sellers this company has gems and real dogs. Anything you see in their catalog or online can be picked up in person at their catalog counter. I tend to inspect it there before laying down my good (okay?) money.

      Having said that I have had nothing but good experiences with them. One really funny thing about them is that there is a jail that backs up to their warehouse so I guess we know where all the prisoners will get guns and cami's from when the SHTF.:D

        Major Surplus 'N' Survival
        Major Surplus & Survival is a major supplier of Disaster and Survival Supplies to Government and Relief Agencies around the world! Complete line of MREs, First Aid, Blankets, Tents, Camping and Outdoor Gear!

        This firm has many great items seen in other survival stores, but at clearance and close-out prices. Most interesting to me are the discounted books and videos, many of which you might find in the Paladin Press catalog. The selection can vary over time, so if you see a great deal in the Major Surplus catalog, it's best to jump on it.

        The Sportsman's Guide
        Sportsman's Guide carries top-quality discount Outdoor and Hunting Gear, Guns, Ammo, Fishing Supplies and more - all at great low prices!

        This great outfit has all kinds of outdoor clothes and footwear, ammunition and gun accessories, camping gear, military surplus, hunting and archery items, marine and fishing supplies, automotive accessories, electronics, and jerky made of just about every critter you can name!

        American Science and Surplus
        American Science & Surplus offers science kits, educational toys, school supplies, arts and crafts items, hobby tools, scales, lab glass, housewares, electronics and much more all at discount closeout prices.

        This old, very established company sells all kinds of things applicable to survival, homesteading, and homeschooling, such as containers, compasses, magnets, electronics parts, lab equipment, testing supplies, learning kits, and fantastic toys. Some more specific items I've seen include:
        * invisible ink pens with ink that can be seen under black light,
        * sunglasses with side mirrors on the lenses for looking behind you,
        * a plasma spark-maker (creates RF interference against more amateurish bugging devices,)
        * parabolic microphones,
        * Radio-Controlled toys
        * Litmus Paper and soil testing kits for the garden
        * Mylar space blankets and Mylar sleeping bags
        * And finally, a real, working Geiger Counter!

        The catalog entries for The Sportsman's Guide and American Science and Surplus are also fun to read. You can tell by the entries that the people who work there actually play with their merchandise and know it well, know how to make anything sell, and love their work! That in itself makes these companies worthy of support!

            I used to live in North Richland Hills. A lot of their stuff is really junky, but a lot of their stuff is VERY good. There is also a place in Fort Worth called Omaha's for milsurp stuff. Their site, for some reason, will not load on my junky computer but it is

            Omaha’s Military Surplus is a real Army Navy store in Fort Worth, Texas and has a vast inventory of original issue military surplus from WWII, Vietnam, Desert Storm, and current periods. Ranging from military surplus boots, practice bombs, clothing, tactical gear, camping, and much more

              Few of my favorites are:

              www.countycomm.com lots of great stuff for your bob and some nice watches :D

              www.lapolicegear.com great place for TACTICOOL accessories. Sign up for the email deals and you can get your gear on clearance. Several times a year they close out their remaining inventory of 5.11 boots and gear for VERY low prices. It is a great way to test out 5.11 gear at CHEAP prices.

              https://www.mainemilitary.com/Default.asp? Neat place for surplus gear. Good deals on BULK stuff. Outfit your squad on the cheap!

              http://www.colemans.com/index.php Another surplus place that offers a lot of neat gear.

              I have done business with all these and they get the ZA seal of approval for REPEAT business:)
              73

              later,
              ZA

              Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to
              beat you to death with it because it is empty.

              The faster you finish the fight, the less shot you will get.

                I like www.sierratradingpost.com Mostly name brand outdoor gear that is closing out. If you get their e-mails you can get an extra 25% off and free shipping.

                  Don't know if this qualifies, but Bass Pro Shops is one of my favorites. I am fortunate to live driving distance, so I go a lot. Everything there seems to be a good value. Even sales items are not junk. Some of my favorite gear and apparel I have gotten there at ridiculously low prices. I do have the luxury of being able to watch for sales.
                  The only place success comes before work is in the dictionary.

                  Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes the reason is you are stupid, and make bad decisions.

                    I like E-Bay and Wal Mart for most items. Bulk I go straight to the maker i.e. freeze dried food or MRE's.
