Sounds like a pretty good deal. What's a HEB?
JUST CURIOUS? PRUNES ARE DEHYDRATED PLUMS. SO WHERE DOES PRUNE JUICE COME FROM?

Gotcha! We have Ingles, Bi-Lo, Publix and a few others out this way. I used to do a lot of design work with the Bi-Lo food chain. I remember them buying out a Texas chain called Fur? Furr/ or something like that. Think they finally sold it off. Too far from distribution centers in the SE.

I remember seeing a Lowe's Food Store in Fort Stockton. Looked strange since I am used to going to Lowe's for lumber?

There are a lot os Lowes around. They are generally low end and market themselves towards the local Mexican population.

Well I can understand why there is one in Fort Stockton then.

Indeed!! HEB here had them also, but only green beans and corn. I bought 6 of each. Cost was $4.00.

We have a Lowes Foods Supermarket chain here but it is a high end, high priced store. I worked for them for 6 years and could not believe people would pay twice as much for the same products they could get at Food Lion because of nicer store fixtures.
Diplomacy is the art of saying "nice doggie" while picking up a big stick.
