    Putting Food By

The above is the title, do a search engine search and you will find it.

It's been around for a long while, I think it was first published in the early 1970's. A book full of tables, ideas, directions, some recipes, and the why and how to preserve most anything that we can eat.
Canning, Freezing, Drying, Curing, Root Cellars, and more.

This is a great source of information that is layed out in an easy to understand manner. It may not have all the answers, but it will lead you in the right direction. I would equate this text similar to the FoxFire series of how-to books, this one being totally focused on preserving the things we eat.

Old post but great book. I have this one. Putting foods by would be great for beginners as well as seasoned preppers. Lots of great info.
