Already underway...I joined a citizen action to demand the release of thse exact records, and we're going before the utilities commision in Feb. with our group's attorneys.
I'm actually entering a motion to requisition financing from the general fund in Crawford county in order to hire a private firm to investigate what our tax money is being used for in this particular department.
Oh yes...there will be a showdown in Little Rock...of that I am quite certain.
What, are you trying to say there may be corruption in Arkansas? No.. Not the Clinton's home state. I am shocked!!!!
These scumbags work for us. I would demand to know what they were dumping in the water. I promise you that they do hourly analysis' of the water if they are comliant with federal law. And I am sure they were there with their hands out post 911 getting anti-terrorism money. I would demand to see it from one of printouts of the days you had problems.

All we got was some lame story about reconfiguring the filtration and treatment process......what I think they did was pocket our latest tax & rate hike, and dump a bunch of shit in the water so they could prove they tried something, and when it backfired, they just quit dumping the "new" chemicals and went into their little backroom to figure out the next scam.
Whew...that felt good.;)
Bastards.

They ever tell you what they were dumping in the water to make it taste like runoff from 3 mile Island?

We've actually got a local radio guy here who ranted pretty good about the water dept issue....the call boards were flooded and he might have been the reason why our water has suddenly and inexplicably returned to its previously tasty yuminess...;)
You are not all of a sudden getting a warm fuzzy feeling about the Obama administration....are you?
Coast to Coast (note the vague water reference to keep Big D off our butts) is on on 3 hours. They know ALL about government coverups!!

I knew you had nothing better to do during daylight hours. Quit calling those poor public servants. Don't you know that the gov'ment would never do anything to jeapordize your health and well-being?
I'm more worried about the government doing something to ensure my health and well-being....
I explained to the utility-nazi on the phone that all of my neighbors have the same prob, and it was obviously a water dept. issue.....denied, of course.
Anywayz...They've received about 1200 calls today, and have decided to go ahead and test our taps for free.
BTW...now filling tea jugs from toilet...marked improvement in quality of taste...thanks, Rusty.

I use to work for a company that installed and repaired water lines, mains, feeders and services. You would be suprised by the amount of scum and sediment that builds up in waterlines. I live in rural area so we have a deep drilled well and two natural springs, 1 is potable the other is good for irrigation. But like a big dummy I sold our generator to buy a bigger one but have not and during the ice storm we had 3 weeks ago we lost power for a week. No power = no well pump ie. no water in the house. I did have drinking water stored so we were good there but had to flush toilets with water hauled through the snow from the spring. I am looking into a solar panel set to run our well pump in the long term. I do filter our well water but it is just for sediment. Oh yea I had a point if I had to use town or city water I would use a reverse osmosis filter system, they are one of the best systems out there and they will fit under most sinks.
