Get some heavy whipping cream, fill a mason jar about 3/4 full, add a pinch of salt and shake for 15 to 20 minutes. Pour off the whey and spread some of that fresh butter on that fresh bread and you'll be in heaven.
mmmmmm homemade bread....my dad used to make sourdough all the time, and this amish cinnamon friendship bread.....I know what I will be doing this weekend! But the best (I am a true southern girl) is homemade biscuits and chocolate gravy, with plenty of butter. Yum!!!

I have never heard of chocolate gravy.. do tell..... !!!!
OH it's so good-and easy too. Use 1 cup sugar, 2 tbsp flour, 3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder, 1 1/2 cups milk, and 1 tbsp butter. In heavy saucepan, whisk the dry ingrediants. Slowly stream in milk, whicking the whole time so it doesn't get lumpy. Cook on medium heat until it thickenes up, like a thin pudding. Remove from heat and whisk in butter until melted. Get nice big country style biscuits (not the flaky ones) and break in half. Put a nice pat of butter on it, and pour gravy over it. Redneck comfort food at it's best! Enjoy....
