I have two wells on my property....one is about 45 ft...water is very minerial tasting....yet potable
the other is 295 ft.....and is great water....and the one we pump from.
Our BOL has a bunch of springs....the house has gravity fed water with a pump for pressure only.....and a over flow spring box. We have installed a hand pump on top of the spring box....it holds about 1200 gallons.
There is also a spring up above the main garden area that feeds a 1/2 acre pond....it is used for irrigation.

About 1/2 mile from my house...a friend of mine has an artisan well on his hillside....best guess by the civil engineers was 50 to 60 gallons a minute....they put 16 gallons a minute on his plat....anything more can become public domain...good water..it has been tested.

Safe natural water supplies
I came across this location last winter when I was doing some backpacking. I took a sample of it to have it checked out and it was good to go!
I know it isn't easy to find places like this, but it pays to check into places in your area that might have something similar like a natural spring and have it tested for future use.Tags: None
