I didn't buy any canned bacon, but I canned some myself. Let us know how it is when you open it.

I cut it up, fried it, threw it in pint jars and pressure cooked it. I wanted it to flavor beans (we have a LOT of beans to eat!), had tried Dak hams and Spam, the bacon won. Ended up canning some ham hocks and some bacon.

Only filled the jars about half to 2/3 full, it doesn't take much to make the beans yummy.

I saved most of the grease, too.

We have Yoder's bacon...it's VERY good. There are about 50 pieces of perfectly cooked bacon (1.5 pounds) in each can. It IS expensive, but as a luxury item, it's really good. All my husbands friends keep buying cans of it from us though. lol
