For the past few years I have planted a garden in the back yard. Just the usual summer/fall vegies I'm sure most of you do. This year I planted a few grape vines and the wife wanted some apple trees and some peach trees. With all the new things added I'm almost out of space in the yard. I do have a small area in the back and down one side of my fence line that I had no idea what to do with. It's mostly brambles and assorted other crap that just keeps coming back year after year no mater how much I cut it back. Then I remembered reading a piece on gorilla gardening. A light bulb went on and much to my wifes dismay I went out and got blueberries, blackberries, strawberries and some herbs. I crawled into the brambles and planted all of these in no apparent order just throwing them in wherever I found some space. Much to my surprise they are all doing well. You can't see them from the street or even from the next door neighbors. It just looks like the usual brambles I get every year. Instant hidden garden.
With such an unknown future I hope we all are thinking outside the box and look forward to hearing all of your ideas, hints and tricks.
