I know a guy here in town that sells me cases for 30 bucks a case. They are all unopened factory cases with the vast majority of their shelf life left on them. Gonna get a few more cases over the next ew weeks.
Who? cb, drop me a pm. Not real big on MREs anymore, but even I will buy a couple of cases at that price!

You need to be extra cautious buying anything but known new from the factory MRE's. There are a lot of the true government mre's being sold, that came back from the sand box for some reason or another. While the expiration dates look good, I have read many complaints that the food in them was not. Everyones best guess, is that a lot of these sat in the sun or under other poor storage conditions, and spoiled. When you talk to the the manufacturers of mre's, they will tell you that shelf life is 100% dependent on storage conditions, and that the shelf life is as little as one month, when stored 24/7 at 120 degrees. At 110 it is as little as 5 months and at 100 it is 22 months. It is very feasible, that crates and crates of these sat on Iraqi and Afghan runways for weeks or months before being moved. This is why I only buy new from the factory and if stored at a constant 70 they are good for 100 to 130 months.
