I was in Lowe's last week, they are now selling Food Grade 5 gal buckets currently on sale for $3.47 ea when you buy 5 or more, about $1.50ea for the lids, these are 90 mil thickness white buckets with the blue Lowe's logo but they do say "food Grade". Not a bad price when you consider I ordered a dozen food grade 6gal buckets last year and with the shipping cost they cost me about 12 bucks ea! I still use mylar bags inside the bucket and the non-food grade would probably suffice but I'll pay an extra buck for the food grade. Ive been looking at those gamma seal lids, you snap them on the bucket like an ordinary lid but it has a threaded center section that unscrews to access the contents and is reusable over and over. www.bayteccontainers.com has them on sale for $5.97 each, they also cary mylar bags , O2 absorbers, sealers, water barrels etc.

Heheh you took the words right out of my mouth. I use the Gamma lids on all my 5 and 6 gallon buckets, they seal air tight, easy to open and close, and they now come in different colors so color coding is a breeze.
