Are you looking for a water pump just for drinking water or to pump up mass quantities of water for plants/livestock? If you are looking for a personal pump/filter I like the Katadyn Vario Microfilter. It can filter up to 530gal depending on the water you put through it and it pumps 2L per minute which is darn fast for a hand pump. But you are prolly looking for olde style hand pumps and this post is irrelavant, but I wanted to pass on this item cuz it's in my bag.

Check Craigslist.org in all the towns near you , e-bay & antique stores local to you. Ask around for them at well drilling companies near you. It takes time, but keep trying & asking, you will find some.
