Has anyone ever tried the LifeCaps supplements? I am wondering if they are any better than the average supplement found at Walmart.

    From their site:

With LifeCaps in your backpack or survival kits, you have confidence in
knowing you are always prepared. These unique capsules can help sustain your life in an emergency, wilderness survival or even when food is not readily available for whatever reason.

LifeCaps works on a simple principle. When your body receives pure nutrients, it no longer feels hungry and can function as normal. If energy is needed,
your body feels free to burn its naturally- stored fuel, or body fat. Our exclusive LifeCaps blend contains no harmful ingredients of any kind, such as stimulants.

I don't know shit about nutrition like this so take this as my opinion only. While I do keep multi-vitamins (Centrum Active, I think.) at home and in my gear I never put a lot of stock in food tab type or super vitamin supplements. Your body can only take in so many nutrients at a time. The rest of it is wasted anyway.

    No thanks,

    Again, IMHOO, YMMV........
Well, for me, the action is the juice.....I'm in.

I do use a daily supplement as well, at home. I was just curious if these were perhaps better in some way. :D New and improved kind of thing, however I do like that they come in individual packets as well.

Ok, you convinced me Mags, no trying the new supplement. My husband thanks you. :D

I asked my dr the other day if she had any reccomendations and she said "no, just be sure you take an over 50 one, since you're getting older and need the calcium".:(

I am with Mags on this one. The body will use what it needs and dispose of the rest. However, there are certain minerals and vitamins, (non-water soluable) such as vit A,B's, and D, that the body will store in your liver and kidneys to dangerous levels. All the water soluable vits will be flushed out of your system. Some of these survival tabs have a lot of filler in them as well. That is why they want you to eat 9-10 tablets at one time. Stick with what you are currently taking.

Me too. Our doc recommended Centrum Silver.

You get points added for reading and sharing Mags, but points taken off for cussing. Watch the language please.

I have some generic daily vitamins in my storage (got them from the Dollar Tree, with a 2 year shelf life) figuring if things get tough, we won't be getting all the necessary vitamins from our food and should have supplements. It's the same ones I take on a daily basis now.

Both CVS and Costco have an identical formulary on their "silver" vitamins and they are a helluva lot cheaper than the Centrum. I'm stocking the Costco variety.

Please do not forget to keep L-Lysine in your stock. It is good for fending off cold sores, boosting natural defense in the body, and others things. Have been told that it has helped some folks psoriasis problems.

My bad with the cursing. I will try, but it's not my fault, honest. It's the environment in which I currently find myself employed. You see, really, I'm the victim here.............................
