  • Growing Vegetables in Containers

Texas A&M University - Academic analyses and information on horticultural crops ranging from fruits and nuts to ornamentals, viticulture and wine.

If your vegetable gardening is limited by insufficient space or an unsuitable area, consider the possibility of raising fresh, nutritious, homegrown vegetables in containers. A window sill, a patio, a balcony or a doorstep will provide sufficient space for a productive mini-garden. Problems with soil-borne diseases, nematodes or poor soil conditions can be easily overcome by switching to a container garden.

LOL, you are funny! Yep, from Walmart. I usually shop at the Dollar General but happened to be in Walmart on the day I needed some pots.

Here is an updated pic of my container tomatoes. :) Today, I am constructing a mobile staking contraption instead of using my temporary stakes.

I haven't got'n to it yet...maybe tomorrow....I have 2, 10' sections of vinyl rain gutters with end caps....drilled full of drain holes.... and hangars to attach to my deck. I enjoy the cherry/grape (size, not flavor) tomatoes and will plant lots of them...their vines will grow up and over the railings.
