  • Tang, Kool Aid, Etc.

OK, when the bad times hit, and all of the "fun" drinks are gone (Coke, beer, fruit juice, etc.) and we're drinking water and only water every day, it's gonna get mighty boring.
It seems like some dried drink mixes should last a long time, not take up much space, and give us some variety. Might even be able to find some that have some vitamin additives. Supposedly Tang has Vitamin C.

I do have a bit of Tang in stock, however it tends to get "clumpy" after a while due to our humidity. I also like those individual packets of flavor to add to bottled water. These are easy to carry and small enough to store without taking up too much space. My preference is lemonade.

I took a costco size container of Tang and vacuum packed it into a dozen or
so packets to protect it from moisture.
I did the same with some Kool-aid and powered lemonade... yeah a few weeks after people have been drinking nothing but water... a Lemonade stand might make a healthy profit!!!

        This got me to thinking..

When I was just a little girl, our family doctor use to tell my mom to give all of us kids jello water to drink when we ran fever. I am not sure why unless it was to get us to drink plenty of liquids? Did anyone else ever hear of this?

We all like water here, but you're right, it could get boring.

I bought some 6-packs of the individual packets that you put in the bottled water. They are sugar free, and still very sweet. I picked up a few different flavors. Cost $1 per 6pack at Family Dollar.

I also bought single serve instant coffee packets, and have tea bags too. Plus plenty of bouillon cubes

I get the Crystal Light individual packs when they are on sale. I like the idea of making your own with the Food Sealer though!

I hadn't thought of buillion cubes, but that's a good idea. You can store a bunch of them in a small space.

+1 for the crystal light packets, drink them all the time.
