You can make a very cheap, and effective solar oven from a vehicle windshield shadecover, (the reflective ones of course), and a large stainless steel bowl. Place your pot with food to be cooked in stainless bowl, position shadecover around it, tilted towards sun. A meal in 4-6 hours! Just need to move it around to follow sun. Used this method for years. Cost, about $10. -
