I've shot a friend's (ex 3PPCLI/Airborne) P226 on a couple of occasions but having smaller hands it just doesn't feel comfortable in my hands where a Browning 9mm or a 1911 does. As for the 6.5x 55mm I have 2 Mauser M1896's, 1 for cast bullet use and a sporterized one with a scope for jacketed bullets.

Yes I agree on the great score! Those 2 calibers are the only ones i usually buy but I'll be grabbing a bx of 9mm factory to match up for a SIG 226, as I know of where i can get my hands on a RONI adapter for it! carbine sweetness, it's a gen 1 but if it works.....

I'm Canadian so budget shooting supply gets most of my business. But a friend does estate sales and gets business when its right up my alley, like this. 1000 LAPUA 6.5mm 400 123 grain 600 139 grain. The buy also included 600 approx 77 grain .224 bullets I can't use (rifle twist is wrong) any canadian willing to offer?

I buy mostly off the shelf Sierra heads but for specialty stuff like non lead heads for hunting I buy from www.peregrinemonolithics.com. Now those of you who look at peregine you going to say "ow!" thems pricey. How ever if you want match grade performance for hunting unlike the preloaded non lead off the shelf then peergine the way to go.

I generally check Natchez Shooters Supply, then Midway USA and then Cabelas, in that order, depending on what is in or out of stock. Seldom but sometimes buy at Gun Shows.

I bought most of my J bullets many years ago when you could buy in bulk and on the cheap,I vary rarely ever shoot J bullet these days.

Other than just a few boxes per caliber loaded up for the purpose of having some on hand, the rest just stay in there boxes. I mostly shoot cast lead bullets for everything from subsonic plinking to high velocity hunting loads.

For the purposes and ranges I shoot at 300 yds. or less there is just no need for commercial jacketed bullets.

I always go to Cabelas but every next month I find it with different price, Sometime I found some savings through using coupons from Cabelas at here but mostly buy it at regular price, I never found these sort of deals on the site of Cabelas, so one has to vigilant while buying frugally from Cabelas.
