I had shells and bullets. My dog ate them. And a tornado took my reloading setup. I have some slingshots and absolutely hate guns, they scare me.

Still I would not want to be near my house in a fire!
I do not doubt that the administration will try and make it more costly for shooters and attempt to limit the flow of ammunition however they can. I think the thing we have to worry most about will be import restrictions.

Maybe...maybe not
Materials known as “range residue” are excluded from the Scrap Venture (SV) program. These residue materials are collected during the cleanup of training ranges where live ordnance is expended.
You can still access the auctions and the individual auction description will list if "mutilation" is required. There is still plenty of brass to be had. Check auction link below and scroll around.
Take Care,

I'm suspicious
I am on the defense disposal mail list and received this notification. I suspect the government will be seeking to limit our ability to reload ammo and this is just an early effort.
Dear Valued Customer:
Please take a moment to note important changes set forth by the Defense Logistics Agency:
Recently it has been determined that fired munitions of all calibers, shapes and sizes have been designated to be Demil code B. As a result and in conjunction with DLA's current Demil code B policy, this notice will serve as official notification which requires Scrap Venture (SV) to implement mutilation as a condition of sale for all sales of fired munitions effective immediately. This notice also requires SV to immediately cease delivery of any fired munitions that have been recently sold or on active term contracts, unless the material has been mutilated prior to sale or SV personnel can attest to the mutilation after delivery. A certificate of destruction is required in either case.
Thank you,
DOD Surplus
