Anyone have any knowledge about the sig 357. I picked one up with 700 rounds for $200

Sounds like a pretty good deal if everything works. Did you get it from a store so I could get one at that price?

Wow, you stole that one. That is an excellent buy. It is my duty weapon. It is an excellent shooter and very accurate. The only draw back is that often the top round in the magazine will move forward after a while when carrying it. When you eject the magazine the round will fall out. Sig Sauer has been contacted about this and they say it will not affect feeding when shooting.

Would enjoy getting some feedback on how you like it. Coincidently i'm saving up for the same, after much research had me decide upon that over a 9mm or .40
              Thanks!

I have a stainless SIG 226 in 9mm. I recently got the conversion kit from SIG with a black slide and .357 SIG barrel. I then got another barrel in .40 S&W. The .357 SIG shoots like a laser. It appears to be super accurate. The .40 S&W is ok, but not as accurate as the .357. I also got the dies and spare parts to load both .357 and .40. So far I have loaded some for the .357. They seem to be easy enough to load, even with the bottle necked case and mild loads with Longshot powder seem to be in the same class as the factory loads. While it doesn’t have the same capability as the .357 Magnum for heavy bullets (.357 SIG is actually .355”, same as 9mm), it does very well with 124 gr. bullets and nearly matches the .357 Mag in a 4” revo.
