I haven't used the USP, it's too dam big. But as HK almost hired me as a repair/sales demostrater. I can tell you I'm under impressed with thier Gun-Fu, Lots of stuff that impresses Enginers, but not much happening to make the grunts smile, Yeh they had thier moment in the sun, back in the 1970-80s but none of the new stuff does anything better than any of thier competiors. I mean what does an HK 45 do that a 1911 can't do?

They have their following, I've shot a few but was not impressed given their prices. I should admit that I am a fan of S&W and Ruger revolvers and Glock and 1911 pistols and
      view everything else with suspicion.

But for the money, I could never recommend one over a Glock. They cost twice as much and add no extra durability, dependability, accuracy, or shootability over a glock.
My weapon can kill, it isn't limited to mere assault

I have several HK pistols. the only drawback is finding mags for them. HK4 and MK23 are the hardest for me.

I also own a MK23. I wouldn't buy anything but H&K mags - straight from their warehouse. I just bought 3 last month. They are $60 a piece. CORRECTION, I don't think you can buy anything BUT H&K for the pistol. Kind of stuck buying them , but in a good way! :)

            Buggy,
Color me envious. Used a USP for a short time and fired a 23 a couple times. What I used felt good in my hands and held good patterns. I like them.

It was actually given to me after my brother passed away! It's a good pistol, BIG... but shoots well!

USP is on my list. I really want a P229 Enhanced Elite though.

I do not have personal experience, but have a nephew who carries an HK as a duty weapon for Border Patrol. In his words it is O.K. but he prefers my Springfield XDM. Both are 40 caliber.

                  I kept a P7 around for awhile until a co-worker offered me a deal that I couldn't refuse - even trade for a NIB GALIL .223.

The little "squeeze cocker" in 9mm shot very well indeed. I have heard mostly good about their USP, but wouldn't trade any of my Glocks or my 1911 for one.

I love my Galil! AK on steroids! (Sorry to hijack the thread!)
