  • Think I found a good red/green dot sight at very affordable prices

Just got two of these in, They appear to be ruggedly made. Directions say it is a 4 MOA dot but appears smaller to me???? Has lens covers and 2000 hour battery life in first position continuous on. Takes 2032 batt that does not come with scope but I got two for less than $19.00 each. Excellent clarity at longer range. Can't buy iron sights for that. I am gonna put one on my vehicle AR. Thinking of ordering a couple more.

I don't know what you're requirements are, but I wouldn't want to use something like that in a life or death situation.

Some red dots sights can change their point of impact by up to 10 or 15 MOA due to something as simple as humidity or temperature change.
Repeated recoil as well as other factors come into play as well.

I guess if you're shooting paintball or a bb gun or something at 25 yards then you don't need anything high quality.

I tried a Red Dot but I just could not get used to it. I can't get a real small grouping, if the dot covers the bullseye. I took it off and mounted it on the home defense shotgun. It is mounted high enough to use the sights if needed. Granted they do allow very fast target acquisition (big targets) but it would be hard to hit a squirrel at 50 yards. JM2c
