I went looking for a Henry 22 today and could not find one...I was told they were all sold out, there are a few more places for me to try. I am now looking for the standard (blued 22)

I was so embarrassed today. I got caught peeing in the pool. When the lifeguard yelled at me I jumped and damn near fell in.

I do own a Henry in the standard lever action and like that much better. It also has a weak ejector though.
most shooters have the buckhorn sight filed flat for compietion.

Guess what I just got my wife for Christmas.... just joking. but I did just buy a Henry 22 lever action rifle.
Of all places from Wal-Mart for $297.00 it is the blued rifle. Always wanted one can`t wait to shoot it.
They had to walk me to the door with the rifle, so I really didn`t look in the box till I got home...
The trigger lock was still on, and the guy who has the key has already gone home for the day. I was told to come back after 3 pm tomorrow and they would take the lock off for me.
Bummer I wanted to try it out tonight. I will let you know how I like it.

Learned to hunt with my dad's pre 64 Winchester 30-30. Still one of the best deer rifles I've ever used. Miss that rifle. Chef, Buy what makes you happy.

A friend has a lever action Henry .22 that is an excellent rifle. Slick, accurate, 100% dependable. The AR-7 (formerly Armalite, Charter Arms, etc) I bought (dealer) was a piece of junk. Refused to feed any make of .22s with any make of mags. I sent it back and they reamed the rear of the chamber with a worn out rat tailed file and sent it back, Still doesn't feed any brand of .22 with any make of magazine (Henry, Charter Arms, after market, etc). I can not recommend the AR-7 from Henry.

When you finally get to shoot it, you will love it. Mine is accurate and smooth. I got mine for shooting mainly shorts and CB caps for varmint control and grandkids to shoot. You can never have too many lever actions.
