  • Black Powder Old & New

Anyone like black powder as much as I do? There is nothing like shooting one. I have,

Hawken 50 cal Patch and ball

Kentucky Rifle 45 cal Patch and ball

1863 springfield musket rifle 58 cal Patch and ball

1847 Springfield Musket 69 Cal Patch and ball

    Navy arms 44 cal pistol

    CVA Apollo 50 cal in-line 1 gen.

Thompson Center Omega Z5 Black Powder Rifle 50

Shooting Goex in the 1863 and 1847
    Paradox in the rest.

I don't have one. I was gonna get a cheap one.
One week at Cabela's we had one on sale for $89, but it was sold out in minutes and I had to work.
I forgot the brand. I never heard of it. Just a cheap muzzle loader. For $89 brand new, why not

I have 2.....one is a Rem inline....the other is a Knight...one was given....one was purchased from friend who needed money years ago.....

I have all the accessories.....6lbs of pyrodex....hundreds of bullets for each...

      I have shot neither....

I have been eyeing a revolver....for the last 7 or 8 years....might make a move one of these days....:)

I haven't played with a cap an ball anything in years. My father used to love em, he would buy the kits from k- mart back in the 70s and 80s .

Just watch the Pyrodex it will lose some of it's kick as it get's old and Goex will get stronger.

I've already taken it off the "use for firearms" inventory....now it's just inventory....:)

Just pick up a CVA .50 caliber Hawken with a .54 caliber barrel and a .45 cal single shot pistol.

I have a 20 guage flintlock that also has a .54 cal rifle barrel fitted. It was made from a kit by Caywood http://www.caywoodguns.com/Wilson%20...rade%20Gun.htm

I love it so! I plan on a .36 cal flint squirrel rifle next, then a big ol' georgian horse pistol for no practical reason at all.
