If you like the 1911 check out MechTech's website. There carbine upper uses the 1911 reciever. They also make one for Glocks. I picked one up at a show for $150 and it is a blast to shoot. I use it with my Colt Combat Commander. He who lives with the most toys, wins.

I want one of those uppers! The only problem with a combo caliber is that it limits the rifle's performance significantly. In open country or where there is a lot of large game- say for a bush pilot in in Alaska, I prefer a .30-06 paired with a pistol. Here in Michigan, even a .357 combo would be fine.

I had a Thompson, traded it. The wow factor at the range was fun, but way too heavy for just a .45. Traded for Springfield SocomII then traded that for a FN PS90. The Socom was too heavy for what it was and the Vltor stock was murder on your hands. The PS90 is way too much fun. Maybe a PS90 and a FN57(but they are a little too big for my hands). I like the ballistics of the 5.7 X 28 mm, at least within 75 yds. The 50 rd mags help too.He who lives with the most toys, wins.
