That is pretty cool. I mostly have 410's and 20 ga.'s cause they are easier for the wife and kids to handle. This would add a lot more knockdown power to those. Will try it this evening and see how it works.

Tried it out last night with the 410. Didn't have quite the same effect as on the 12 ga. in the video. At 15 yards it went from dispersing the shot all over a 2' x 3' target to concentrating all of the shot to within a 1' circle. At 5 yds. it made a hole about 3" with all shot within a 6" circle.

12 gauge worked ok. Wouldn't use for hunting. Would ruin too much meat. Would work great for defense. The video I took some how got deleted in the down load process. I guess I need to get more intouch with the 21st century. lol

                Sounds pretty effective to me!

The girls use the 410's for hunting, but mainly they are for defense around the house when they are home alone. My wife works lots of hours and my hours are odd and sometimes long. They like the 410's cause they are old single shots and are the easiest, quickest to load and shoot for them. This will surely add enough stopping power to them, which is something I was concerned about.

Great post. It really helped me out and eased my mind some.

Here is a video I found on making slugs out birdshot. It looks a little safer than the cut shell, and the accuracy is better.
