  • Online ammunition supplies

I know many here would consider buying online a breach in OPSEC, but I'm always looking for a good deal on ammunition. I buy at shows with cash mostly, but I have also bought quite a bit from a few online sources. Anyone have a good source they wouldn't mind sharing, or a bad source to steer the rest of us away?
My number one online source is ammunitiontogo.com (good prices, reasonable shipping)

I've bought bulk ammo from CTD ( cheaper than dirt) there OK to deal with. And also from cdnn didn't like there customer service but shipping was cheap at the time I bought.

Personally I buy from the shows...or shops exclusively. You save in shipping....and the guys from the shows are usually more than willing to bring and hold what you want....for fair prices.

shipping kills on most ammo purchases....that's just my $0.02.

For me to drive to a show would cost me the same as mail order. And if I catch one of cdnn's shipping deals its cheaper for me. Last order they had a 14.99 flat ship on all ammo orders over 200.00

You can always hand over the mail ordered ammo to the "search parties" since that is all that they know you have.

I stopped ordering online when we moved to Illinois. The stupid FOID card makes it too much for me. You have to fax a copy of the FOID and your DL and I prefer to not share that much info. When I do purchase (usually I reload) I hit up a show or wait for a sale at Cabella's(I have a store 10 mins. away).

FOID=Firearm Owner Idendification Document(pain in the ass, unconstitutional, POS)

                I like the Armory here:

                http://www.the-armory.com/shopsite_s...mmunition.html

For me, the nearest gun show is at least 70 miles, Cabelas 220 miles. Shipping for me is not the issue and the Armory meets almost all of my needs, when the stuff is in stock.

I found a great website that shows the ammunition you want first by caliber, then type, grains, manufacturer, and then by keywords. Ammunition is shown from MANY different sites, and it shows the price per round, who is selling it, grain, who the manufacturer is, what the overall price is, the # of rounds, and the price per round.

                    The website is :http://ammoseek.com/

This is the best website I have found if you look for ammunition online.
