I'm looking at getting a 9mm pistol for personal defense and had nearly settled on Kel-tec, either the PF-9 or P-11 (still a coin flip:rolleyes:) when I came across something I hadn't seen before: SCCY CPX-1 9mm. It comes with 2 9 round mags, internal child safety locking mechanism, an external safety, and is roughly the size of the P-11 and even appeared to be mechanicly similar. I've been on the message boards and it seems that they are finicky with ammo and are overall rather poorly built. But with great accuracy when they do work. Does anyone here have personal experience with SCCY pistols, I'd like some more personal input than the message board offers. Thanks!!

I wouldn't chance it with my life support gear, there are too many good pistols that we know work very well.

Glock 26 if you are looking for a compact 9mm is a good bet.

I like mine. You can view it in the BOB contest thread. I had to contact the manufacturer with a question and they were very helpful.
