I think I just picked up a new item for survival. A couple of slingshots (the kind with the surgical tubing), a few extra replacement tubes, and a bunch of round steel ammo. It would be a nice semi-silent weapon if the need arose.
Of course, a LOT of practice would be in order.

I looked at a wrist rocket at Wallyworld last week. I prefer the folding kind.
I got that idea from an airline employee who has to layover in countries where guns are severely illegal.
