Well at least I now know why the US is having an ammo shortage. It all went to Indiana!

With .22 I'd go ahead and include plenty of dessicant.....22 are not quite as "tight" - normally - as higher quality ammo....JMO, though...

I have a lot of ammo loose in ammo cans, and it will store very well.Heck,I have ammo w/ a headstamp of 1947 and it all shoots fine.No issues at all,and this is com-bloc stuff too!!

Hopefully things don't fall apart soon. There is no cool dry place anywhere near the Texas gulf coast in the summer. Thank you for your imput. I need to buy a vacuum sealer but my needs list stretches off into the distance.

Better than the box they came in...they'll probably outlive you with decent temp control....

    started a topic Ammo Storage

    Ammo Storage

How long do you think this will store?
First I put 60 rounds of .223 in a ziploc along with 2 silica packets.

Since I don't have a vacume sealer yet I did it the red neck way with a straw removing all the air in them as I could. (Yeah I know its the best I could do with what I have.)

Then i packed them up into Ammo cans for storage.
