What does everyone think is a basic minimum load out for their firearms?
Right now i have 1000 rounds of 9mm, 5000 rounds of 7.62x39, 8000 rounds of .22lr, and 500 12ga rounds
It seems like a lot but i can't help but think how fast 4 people will burn through this if attacked by a mob.
This one's actually already been started...I think it's in the General thread, or maybe prep...can't remember....use your search bar...;)

However I think 1k per long arm and 500 per sidearm is a good place to START:)
I agree with ZA.....I just happen to buy a box or 6 EVERY TIME I GO TO THE STORE!!!!!
You'll bone up fast...

Now we're talking. Most of my ammo is in military ammo cans. Perfect for storing a round or two or 50K :D
And to answer whoever started this post. You can NEVER have too much ammo. Its value will only keep going up as time goes by and it will damn sure be worth its weight when TSHTF!
For me, I try to carry similar caliber weapons, it makes ammo stockpiling cheaper and more efficient.

I've accumulated a little over 57k of .22lr...but I'm uncomfortably short on everything else. Mainly because I either can't find it, or refuse to pay the going prices. I have been buying alot of brass though.
WOW i have heard some high numbers of .22 but that BY FAR takes the cake.
Unfortunately i missed the boat when it was quite a bit cheaper
