This morning after swilling a pot of hardcore, old school perked coffee, West Texas and myself hit the Odessa gun show. All and all, it was a mixed show. Firearms prices were amazingly out of this world. Ammo prices made me mad!! However I did come up with a few good gems.
I bought 40 rounds of Winchester military 308 for $20.00. $10.00 a 20. High, but cheaper then the $25.00 a 20 everywhere else.

The next little jewel, and I thank West Texas for finding this, is aLarge ALICE pack with frame. It is labeled as used, but I think it is new. Price? You will call me a liar, but it was $20.00. All straps and buckles are there and new. It is ready to use!! Heck yeah! WT bought one also.

The final find is a great NEW colapsable 2 quart water canteen with cover. Itis fantastic!! Price? $5.00. Heck yeah!!

I also passed out quite a few of my little cards advertising the site, bought 20 rounds of 762 x 54R for $8.00 (disgustingly overpriced) and 50 rounds of Colibri .22 super silent.
All and all, the pack alone was worth the $5.00 entrance fee. WT and I also slummed around town a bit, and I owe him a favor by pointing out the pound of black powder I was looking to buy, would level my garage if I touched it off. I, regretably, left it sitting on the table.
