Make sure that you follow your state laws Florida says any knife longer then 5 inches (Blade) is illegal to carry daily.

Recently had problems with my Kershaw. Locking folder (Model 1605) didn't lock anymore. I sent it back to have it repaired under warranty. Easy. Fill out a form on line. Print it, and send it in with the knife and a $7.00 payment for S&H coming back to you. Payment can be made in Cash, Money Order, or CC. They say it will take six weeks, so I will keep you posted on the result. Six weeks seemed a little excessive to me, but that is the quote.

Your right, does seem a little long to get it back. A few months ago I finally got around to putting in a warranty claim on a broken pocket clip for a Gerber I was gifted a few years back. Worst part was doing some GoogleFoo to figure out what model I actually had. but like 7 days later, poof, new clip and screws in the mail and knife good as new.

Same thing on my on little Kershaw, think I'm on the 2nd or 3rd replacement clip now. Not sure why I see to have the worst luck with pocket clips. I always seem to catch them and break them off.

I don't get on here as much as I would like. Seems you are busier when you retire than when you are working. We are trying to get ready for winter around here, I wish we would have a good hard freeze to kill the prairie grass infesting everyone's pasture. I always get angry at the government every time they change the time, it is a major pain in the butt. Take care,

I just got a notification from Kershaw that my knife is being returned by USPS. So what was that? 2 1/2 weeks? Coming by USPS from Seattle might take another 2 1/2 weeks. I will keep you posted.

I received my package last weekend. Every indication is Kershaw replaced the knife completely. Not repaired. Completely replaced with brand new. I'm not arguing. $7.50 (S&H) for a brand new Kershaw locking folder? I will take it.

that's interesting. I'm surprised though that they didn't ask if it was sentimental or had special meaning before they did.

A Kershaw speedbump is in my pocket everyday, blade profile is a little strange, but good steel, and the double curve adds to my cutting length. I also like the locking mechanism, very positive.

I have been very pleased with the Kershaw. It is now my EDC. I switched from a Gerber I really liked, but the Kershaw is a little heavier, and more robust. Keeps a great edge.
