If you don't have some of these, make some immediately, if not sooner.
I've been making these knives for a couple of years, now. I actually thought that I was the original innovator, but this guy put his up on the web, and I was humbled. His are way fancier than mine, and now I gotta destroy some more hacksaw blades this weekend and upgrade.

I saw that link... very well done  Need to tinker a few as well!
Yeah, you should check out the guy's whole site...everything from knife-smithing to improvised, long-term shelters, M40 is a close friend (wouldn't know it. with the little secretive knife project, traitorous bastard!), and a knowledgeable resource.
Tons of info aviailable for the mining there...and 40 pulls no punches when he sees some B.S., so you know when he's being staight w/you about something.

Wonder if I can make those with my gunsmithing tools. Specifically, my Dremmel. Gonna find out Monday.
That's how I make mine, still....But M40's design is much better....I made 2 of 'em last night and fired off an email to '40, griping him out for not sharing sooner. He said he thought he was the inventor, too....got us wondering who else has cabbaged onto this idea...
Had to admit, though, his are a helluva lot more versatile than my little piece of honed blade.
I'm gonna make some barbed fishing spearheads 2nite and see how they turn out...

I just bought a 4 pack. When I get home I am going to make 8 of them, and they will be fancier then a pig in a tuxedo!! I will put up pictures when I get them done.

I'd love to put up some pics of gear, but can't figure out why I can't just upload 'em.....I don't have a clue how to use the damn http/ crap.
I'm used to point n click.

One thing you have to remember, if you link them here, and then delete them from photobucket, you cannot see them here.

You think I could make a decent handle out of dut tape or wrap them with heavy nylon cord?
I use the same method as M40 w/the paracord lanyard, but I dip the handles in some rubber coat...works pretty good, and it's cheap.

I imagine you could do whatever you want, though....Hell, you might even epoxy on a cheap pine handle to both sides....I might try that myself, now that I'm feeling creative.

I thought about wraping it in parachute cord then using this cold dip stuff I buy at Harbor Freight tools. I think a double dip would be good too. I bought the course tooth blades. I figure they would be more functional. Thoughts?
