"One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors." Plato
That Government is best which governs the least, because its people discipline themselves.
— Thomas Jefferson
You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich. You cannot lift the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer.

I was so embarrassed today. I got caught peeing in the pool. When the lifeguard yelled at me I jumped and damn near fell in.

I'm impressed! He's got lots of great military information right at your fingertips. Manuals on first aid, commo, field fortifications, tactics, urban warfare, patrolling, vehicles, and so much more. He also has articles about ideas that he's evaluated and concepts he's developed. One I found really interesting was "Killer Caravans". Here's a link to it. http://www.survivalebooks.com//THE_KILLER_CARAVANS.html
I had never considered this aspect of urban threat before, but I can redily see the potential - if there are strong leaders in any group like this.Planning to be here through it all.............

I've been reading these manuals since I was a kid and up through the Marine Corps and in to my mid forties. Except for a very select few, the Airforce Survival Manual, the Marine Corps Combatives FM, and the Special Forces Navigation Manuals being some of the notable exceptions, the majority are entry level skills presented in camo and military lingo. Some are tragically inaccurate. I have an Escape and Evasion guide that instructs the user to light the forest on fire and shoot the escaping animals if you get hungry. I have the deepest respect for folks who serve, but be honest, if you are a fellow grunt, how often did you even see one of these things let alone use them? Dirt time, and being with experienced folk while working your own edge, there really is no substitute. In the eighties and ninety's I used to read them as comedy. When things went south with/in the middle east they became tragedies. The last DoD stat I checked stated less than 20% of military personnel trained in survival and placed in a survival situation actually survive. You have to wade through a lot of crap to find the gems, and when you are young with it, it might seem worth it. Just understand that a mentor with some dirt under their nails will accelerate your learning ten fold compared to you just reading and watching stuff on youtube. Wanting it is not enough, reading/watching it is not enough. Go do it and speak from your own direct experience. Please. Much Respect, done with the sermon. Thanks.
