Making your own DC powered refrigerator from a recycled AC refrigerator is very easy and operates at about a quarter or less of the energy of conventional refrigerators. sunfrost refrig/freezers are made for solar power, can be pricy but they have good service life and from what I hear they are able to be solar powered as well. sunfrost.com
