Good use for those batteries that will not power your other electronics that you think are DEAD! Talk about getting your money's worth out of batteries!

Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to
beat you to death with it because it is empty.

The faster you finish the fight, the less shot you will get.

    Very cool hack.....

Paul Harvey turned me onto another way to get more juice from a battery....when the performance fails, remove the batts and tap the positive ends together smartly....you compress the inner whatchamajiggers and get about 15% more batt life...:D

Seems to work in my safety-muff radio....

Well I think I'll try that next time I get caught in the dark with weak batteries.

The joule thief is very cool.
JUST CURIOUS? PRUNES ARE DEHYDRATED PLUMS. SO WHERE DOES PRUNE JUICE COME FROM?

I've noticed when using batteries, they become slightly warm. You can extend the life of batteries by placing them in the fridge after use, quickly cooling them.
