well, half of your group wont show up. They'll get killed while looking for a pet or a kid, or some other such nonsense, You can't get 5 men to agree upon what rifle and load the group will use, for interchangability and generality of training. About the time you tell Joe or Ron that they have to pull extra guard duty, or discipline their kids better, one of them will shoot you in the back. If they show up at all, that is, and dont each brine a dozen worthless, unplanned-for, no gear, no food people along with them.

Leadership is huge responsibility.

I have no ambition to run someone elses program or location....group. Within most people and or groups out there..you will find too many people who are "High Maintenance."


I am the boss of this location...my house and have no ambition to take second, third, or fourth place when I clearly know that I take first place risks in my occupation for the monies earned.

This is also a concept never brought out by these disgusting people passing for leadership and exploiting "Victimiztion" politics to put many of us in second, third, and fourth place while we take first place risks in our occupations and for our monies.

We are never supposed to be able to think this far on our own and without permission.

My group has been around since 1993. We elect our leaders by vote. Any member can run. But they have to be able to live at our farm year round for those two years. They become the caretakers and run the farm. So far 29 years we have been shown to expand it!

We don't have a group, we have the two of us. Our reasoning is although we grow enough to feed us; we don't grow enough to feed others. As the nearest town is 17 miles away population is under 9K and our nearest neighbor is about .5 mile or so there isn't any group in our future.

We grow and can our own vegetables using heirloom seeds. Where we live there are deer, feral hogs, fish and other edibles. We didn't do this for a SHTF world; we did it because we enjoy growing/harvesting our own food. AFA as potable water, there are two springs within <200' of us.

It is not ideal; OTOH, it sure beats bugging out to the forests and (barely) surviving. We didn't decide to live here to survive SHTF etc; we chose it because we love the solitude and beauty.

Since I'm one of the members so far away, We first have to travel via convoy to a location where others are waiting then once we have collected every one, off we go to another state until we have everyone. By the time we reach the farm we will have a bus, and 12 jeeps, trucks, and vans. Some where in the mix people will disppear. We will need to recover them. Never said it was going to be easy. After words we will sit down and find solutions to each problem. This has been done for 20+ years.

Having a farm and a labor force to work the land to grow food, hunt or defend it is indeed an excellent situation.
