Radio / HAMM Gear
Aside from my portable 40 Channel CB
and the MIDLAND GXT1000VP4 FRS/GMRS walkie-talkie type radios that I used to communicate with those on HAMM by way of dialing in on the related frequencies on the following chart...
I purchased a (2) ICOM Q7A 2-meter radios
and (2) ICOM T81A 4-meter radios
as well as several satellite phones, remote antenneas and docking station.
Not forgetting the crank-up emergency radioalong with solar chargers for all units.
The nice thing about the Q7A's is that they are powered by (2) AA batteries and I also have a pocket sized solar battery charger that charges (4) AA's at a time.Last edited by USMC0351Grunt; 04-29-2011, 03:56 PM."Trained to kill, prepared to die, prefer to live, Semper Fi!"
