Tuskegee Airmen! I had the honor to meet one of them when I worked at the base in Michigan. He showed me alot of his original photos of the group and when I asked, he told me a few stories of the atrocitys that really occured during this time. (Hollywood of course whitewashed the way these men were really treated) Sad :(

I think that Band of Brothers is excellent and Full Metal Jacket is pretty good too. I always liked The Dirty Dozen cause it has Clint Walker in it. When I was a kid he had a western series on tv called Cheyenne. My dad was stationed in Madrid when I was a kid (about 5 years old) and I was in the hospital for a while with a hernia operation. The childrens ward was 1 big room with about 10 beds lining the walls on each side. There were only about 5 kids in there and the day after I had my operation Clint Walker came by on a USO tour. As soon as I saw him enter the room, I jumped up from my bed and started running towards him hollering "Cheyenne, Cheyenne". None of the other kids knew who he was. When I got to him he just picked me up like I was one of his kids and gave me a big hug. It hurt quite a bit but I didn't mind cause it was "Cheyenne".
