Yes the 13 year solar cycle is set to be heaviest starting in mid 2012 through early 2013 throuhg late 2013. After that it start ebbing until it reaches its basin then starts to build again until it reaches its crest.

This movie sounds much like the book "Lights Out" by Halffast.... Even the part about the dude who is banished from the subdivision... I wonder if the author of the book is aware of this... I see no mention of him on the trailer website...

I'm a long-time poster on ar15.com survival forum and other areas, and stumbled across here today. Wish I had found it sooner.

I'm also a producer of Remnants, and wanted to stop in, introduce myself and answer any questions you may have. I can pop on some content from the movie if you like. I can also provide regular updates if there's interest.

Primary production is "in the can." We are currently knee deep in the editing, SFX, mixing and audio process. We are currently pushing through ~5 minutes of the movie each week, and expect to have the initial cut done on Sept 1. We do not know what the distribution channels will be. In the indie world you have to make your movie and show it around to see if someone wants to buy it. We certainly have high hopes for a big announcement in Q4.

While we ended up not showcasing as much survival "how to" as I had originally hoped, the movie is absolutely intended to be a showcase of how a disaster could effect you and yours - and in a way that could reach a wide audience. I joined the team specifically to help spread that message, so I hope we're successful in that arena (if nowhere else).

As mentioned - pop any questions or feedback you have here! I'll also add a good deal of content here if there's interest. I only have 14 more posts to make before I can start adding URLs and images :p
