  • Carriers; the PG-13 'The Road'

Carriers saw limited release in 2009 and is rated PG-13
The story centers on 2 brothers driving through the '4 Corners' region of the S.W. USA with 2 girls in tow after a plague has killed-off most of humanity. The need for gasoline and avoidance of the infected create the basic plot line.
The movie quickly switches from 'PAW road trip' to character study and morality tale. Great acting and photography keep this film from being a dud. There are no gruesome or explicit scenes and I was left with the feeling that they were edited out along with some of the drama as the film is only 84 minutes long. Despite that handi-cap it is a good movie that will leave one thinking about the movie long after it is over, and of course it is suitable for family viewing (PG-13)
    I give Carriers 3.5 viruses outa 5
