you head east and you'll find NH/VT/ME equally beautiful in their own rights ..... give it a few months and you'll see nature's colors like you never thought existed ....

Glad you are safely in up country with Zailey. May you both enjoy the healing of country, farms and a low population. It can do wonders for body and soul. Maybe you take up canning! Now that is work rewarded with such pleasure and accomplishment.

Amy, glad you made it with no problems. Didn't know you were moving out of Florida. But being in the country is great.

Oh Amy, you gotta lean the wave that fits the situation. Here in Oklahoma there is the one finger wave where you lift your index finger off the steering wheel that says "I don't know you but I meet you on the road every day." The 2 finger wave , index and middle finger "We have met each other on the road so many times I think you would help me if I had car trouble, I know I would help you." The whole hand wave that says "Hey, I know you, glad to see you" and when given to a road worker says "Thanks!" Then there is the whole arm wave you give to your friends and relatives. Last there is the wave back and forth in front of your face that flags someone down.
There is a whole language to be learned! Narrow country roads really teaches how to communicate with waves! The most important is the wave that says "Thanks for moving over" even if you are the one who moved over. Learn your local waves, it will be a lot of fun!

Whoaa... guess I was out of touch, last i knew you were moving up to Orlando area. I didn't know you relocated up north Amy, congrats. Hope your enjoying the change. Personally other than the beauty in NY and the people in certain parts, I couldn't live there. Between their taxes, their govt and their gun laws... yuck... if they could make those 3 things go away and flush Albany and NYC down the toilet it'd be great. Lots of great people in western, central and upstate. That down state/ stuck up Hudson valley area, though beautiful, they can keep it.

Hope you're getting ready for winter. Give some details on your new digs and job when you get a chance...

Buggy... how r u going to work this into your story line...LOL
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you!

Good question. Guess story line has to change a bit. Amy glad you are not in Florida. It''s going to be really bad for what looks like all of Florida. We may have dodged the bullet here where we are. But another one seems to be following Erma's path.. Haven't seen a weather report yet today though..

On discussing about the survival packages that we need to carry with… Had anyone thought of the house we are leaving behind, the things that we are to look forward to in securing them. Having a residential security alarm system that can monitor the properties of our home while we are away is a plus point. Every home has one, now. But what are the features they provide, that is something to look into detail. The security alarm provider that I make use of has given good service in keeping my old ones even more safe than I imagined. My mother who is an Alzheimer's patient for the past 4 years, have been having a little issue settling down, for herself and us family. We had the medical monitoring service system implanted when her issue got started, and we were greatly relieved that it was done. She had a hyperglycemia attack and no one was at home. She was able to trigger the button in the remote which signaled the central station of the emergency situation and they assisted her with necessary follow-ups and they were the ones who contacted the medical team and one of my brothers. The situation was somehow rolled over and we came across it without much trouble. These are also some survival issues that we should be updated about and consider following.
