  • Blackpowder Gunsmiths for repair/rebuild?

Yeah, I know this is WAY off topic, but I need some help. And you never know until you ask, right?

I am seeking an experienced blackpowder gunsmith to repair and/or rebuild a 30+ year old Pedersoli Brown Bess muzzle loader.

I made the mistake of thinking I could repair/refinish the stock. It is a mess. It will probably take a new stock and a rebuild to get it back to safe and sound condition for reenactments.

So, do any of you know of any experienced gunsmiths that are accepting repairs / rebuilds?

    Thanks!
If it looks ignernt, but it works, then it ain't ignernt.

I know a man who built a custom flintlock for me, he's excellent with wood, he did mine in curly maple. If your stock isn't damaged, he can fix it, or he can make a new one. The down side? You must be patient. He does it in his spare time.

Might try either Dixie Gun Works or Numrich Arms. They might just have one of those laying around waiting for a order. I used to buy parts from both of them for years. Always parts were as stated condition.
