Here is an update on my fish farm. It has been almost a year since I received the fingerlings. Let's see how they did. Eleven fish weighed in a 16.2 lbs. I harvested 4.8 lbs of filets for a yield of 28%. That is a little below the commercial average of 30%, but not bad for a beginner.

The slow sand filter worked great all winter. With the added heat increased my daily costs to about $1 per day. But that is less than a typical hot tub.
