New season starts Thursday, July 24 on National Geographic. Fun to watch. You get some laughs, some hold my beer and watch this moments, and occasionally some useful information. Each of these vary from person to person, both you and the prepper being showcased.

I plan on watching Gran. I don't consider it any type of reality. But watch it as an entertainment like "America's Dumbest Videos""Oh, America. I wish I could tell you that this was still America, but I've come to realize that you can't have a country without people. And there are no people here. No, my friends. This is now the United States of Zombieland"
"The constitution does not guarantee our safety, only our liberty!" Robert Steed before congress 3/2013

NGO has been showing reruns all weekend long. Now I remember why I hated that show so much! They find the worst types to represent our way of living.
Christ on a shingle who wants to see a very large fat man running around in body armor and a WW-II helmet pointing a M-1 around at night like he was under attack! I do not know if I should cry or laugh!!!

I will give it a chance. I always try to pick up a few pointers. I hope they come back to reality, and show down-to-earth people who are more practical. The last season, IMHO, was incredibly stupid. The people were all building these wild contraptions. They had way more money than good sense. Why can't they show real people who are planning for real emergencies? The only place success comes before work is in the dictionary.
Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes the reason is you are stupid, and make bad decisions.

most people aint got high velocity rapidfire rifles. You MISS dodging men a lot at night, with a bolt action rifle, too.Such armor DOES stop buckshot, 22 rifle rds, muzzleloader balls, field and target-tipped arrows, pistol caliber carbines, pistol rds. all of which would result in an infected, eventually lethal wound without the armor. Armor is definitely worth wearing, if shtf, even if it's not "rifle-rated".
