Tipping Point #9 is an important one. Some of the prognosticators said that one of the signals of our coming collapse would be when the Chinese start divesting themselves of our debt - and they are doing exactly that.

When the U.S. dollar dies and our financial system collapses we are not going to be able to get all of the things that we need from the rest of the world so cheaply any longer. That is going to cause fundamental changes inside the United States.

They also point out that Weiner's weiner is stupid as news at this point in our financial lives. Something I've said around here a couple of times - it's a diversion.

The news is full of diversion and has been for a long time, you are right about that for sure. With all that is going on in the world at least half of the news stories if not more shouldn't even make the news. It makes me sick that more people would rather turn their back then face reality.

Had this conversation at work today with a visitor. Said they never watched or read the news, it was all depressing. I pointed out it is good to have a pretty good idea what's coming. They had no reply.
