If you ask me.....it's a blatant violation of the 2nd and the 4th....

The guy was a convicted felon....and was already breaking the law....but it sounded to me they had no reason to be worried about the vehicle....since the guys were already out of it.

I feel with the state of the union....we will begin to see more and more of this in the near future.

it's just another step toward being a subject rather than a citizen....:(

I have no problem when the police confiscate a gun from a prohibited possesor. I have a problem when it happens to people that have the Constitutional right to own firearms.

        snip
Supreme Court allows police to take all firearms from law-abiding motorists during traffic stops.

Don't take me wrong....I get your meaning....

It is the beginning of the police state.....

What can you do?......not much other start a shit storm for yourself....the NRA has the bank roll to affect a difference....but they are in constant compromise mode. The only....and I do mean the ONLY...reason I maintain my NRA membership....is to keep my Certified Instructor Credentials.

You all remember the Va Tech. shooting?....one of my good friends owned the store where one of the guns was purchased. He followed the law to a "T"....and got drug over the coal anyway.....he called the NRA and asked for help with how to respond to the reporters as not to damage gun owners reputation....and to help show he did everything right. He was told "we have chose to not get involved at this time".

He still gets death threats....his daughter has been threatened.....they threatened to burn down the store.

In my opinion....the NRA has sold the general populace out.

          But yes....it is an obamanation....

            Echo2,
My post wasn't directed at you. It was more along the lines of venting my frustrations.

last time I checked all people have the right to own firearms. Laws and the constitution are not the same thing. nor are political opinions based on currying votes.

so really what can you do. refuse to follow the law, be confrontational, buy black market. I doubt you could found a group to try to stop them, the Gov would drown you in court costs and years lost waiting for the case to be decided by the supreme joke, I mean court. who we all know are now political appointees who want buck the system.

and all thats assuming you can find a group of people who will actually be willing to set aside the more extreme desires and compromise on just a basic. " the right to bear arms shall not be infringed" theres all kinds of groups that are willing to let every one but " insert group not liked here" own a weapon.

remember this is that nation of free speech till your politically incorrect.
